2024 Youth Summer Basketball Camps
JM Hoops is excited to announce summer basketball camps for kindergarten through 8th grade youth. We hope to equip each camper with the added confidence and tools to enhance their basketball game. We look forward to working with your child!
Skills and Team Camp (June session) Register Here
Skills and Team Camp is designed to cover all phases of skill improvement and team play. Sessions include teaching stations on using the proper skills, technique and footwork for shooting, ball handling, cutting, screening, passing and finishing. Sessions also include 1:1, 3:3 and 5:5 competitions with campers grouped by age and ability. Offensive and defensive team concepts are taught.

Little Dribblers Camp (June session) Register here
Little Dribblers Camp is designed to teach the basic fundamentals of basketball. Sessions include skill development of shooting, ball handling, rebounding and passing. This fun-filled camp combines instruction, competition and games. This is a great camp for both beginning players and advanced players looking to develop their skills.
Cost: $75

“New to Basketball” Camp Register here
New to basketball? This camp is for you! This camp is for boys and girls (kindergarten – 6th grade) that want to learn how to play basketball. During three sessions, campers will learn passing, shooting, and ball handling. They will understand the basics of offense and defense. Campers will learn how to play in a game setting and participate in contests all in an environment filled with encouragement and fun.
Cost: $75

All camps are staffed by experienced coaches and athletes.
All camps have limited enrollment. Please register early.

Jon Miller has over 25 years experience coaching basketball at all levels – kindergarten through Varsity. As a former high school and college player that he understands the time commitment and skills needed for athletes to develop.
Jon is enthusiastic, passionate and has a strong knowledge of the offensive and defensive game. He stays up to date on coaching techniques and current trends in basketball. He has been a member of Minnesota Basketball Coaches Association since 1999.
Jon received a BA in secondary education from the University of Minnesota Duluth and a MS in Curriculum and Instruction from MN State Mankato. He currently teaches at Shakopee High School.
Jon and his wife Emily have lived in Prior Lake for over 25 years. They have two adult sons, Kellan and Zane, and a dog Teddie. Jon is a member of the St. Mike’s Catholic Church and active in Special Olympics Minnesota. In his free time, Jon enjoys muskie fishing, home improvement projects and being outdoors.
